Day tickets salmon fishing the river derwent +

currently catch and release on salmon. The beat is approximately 450 meters long and is fishable from the bank on the right hand side looking down stream and can be easily waded at the top end of the beat. The end pool on the beat is the boat hole and is brilliant for fishing at any height as it is very deep. The season starts in Febuary and finishes in October although it is catch and releasefor salmon until June. Sea Trout and Brown Trout can be kept early in the season though. Any method of fishing is allowed on this stretch of the Derwent (Worm, Spin and Fly). The beat is about 100 metres from the Broughton Craggs Hotel so is easy to find. There is a layby for parking next to the beat which is next to a road and is safe to leave vehicles for the day. There is a gilly available on request at no extra charge and if he is free to come down, however I also can be available to help if needed. Anyone requiring lures, these can be purchased from myself on request subject to availability. There are 2 shops in the villag nearby for any snacks or drinks required (About a 5 min walk, 1 min drive).
